Volunteering is taken as an opportunity to build character, learn valuable skills, and form relationships.

We provide opportunities to get involved and support our work by inviting all who are Interesting in volunteering with us. Volunteers are an essential component of our organization. Without them, much of the work we do would not be possible.

Volunteers not only assist the work of HCSO staff but have the satisfaction of knowing that they made a difference in life of many community members. Whether young or old, an individual or a group, all are welcome to volunteer as part and parcel of the organization.

Through your volunteering and internship, you could help HCSO realize its mission of stop the cycle of poverty before it begins, by investing in the lives of children who are orphaned, disabled and those who live in difficult environment, by ensure these Children are supported from all angles including;

On-Site Volunteering
  • Internships are available to college students or recent graduates with relevant experience.
  • Media Development/Marketing: Develop communication content (videos, pictures, written content) for outreach initiatives across various platforms (including but not limited to social media accounts and newsletters)
  • IT Expert / Network Management: Review and provide recommendations for Hope Children’s Support Organizations, IT systems and structures; May also include website maintenance and development.
  • Research: Design and conduct research on the progress and impact of the organization’s initiatives. We welcome research proposals from applicants or partnerships with universities.
  • Business Development: Our team is looking for a motivated self-starter who is interested in learning the ins and outs of a growing non-profit and contributing to the growth and effectiveness of the organization.

Also available through remote volunteering

Remote-Volunteering
  • Grant Development: Reviewing organizational financial systems and/or conducting a 1-2 week refresher course on financial and accounting processes. Additionally, grant/proposal writers who can similarly provide trainings.
  • Partnerships & Fundraising: Identify and build partnerships within Tanzania and abroad to help drive fundraising initiatives for the organization.
  • Web Development: Assistance with developing and maintaining the website, including search engine optimization.
